Downer maintains longstanding contracts and significant operations to over a quarter of New Zealanders. We are proud to be working on a long-term maintenance contract across the Auckland Region. We are seeking an experienced Pump Station Serviceperson to join our team!

A bit about your role;

The purpose of this position is to carry our routine maintenance and to respond to pump station faults on Watercare’s North Western water and wastewater networks. You will also be involved with all kinds of construction work, varying scope and size from small concrete works to renewals, capital works and drainage projects. This is a great team and no two days will be the same so it will be a good chance to use your existing skills across a range of disciplines and to develop new skills.

A bit about you;

You will have previous experience with the Water Industry and will bring with you;

  • Experience in water, wastewater, landscape, road construction or civil infrastructure projects
  • Electrical feeder experience
  • Motivated and proactive with a can-do attitude
  • Focused on quality
  • Understanding P&ID
  • Knowledge and experience of urban and rural water reticulation system maintenance
  • Ability to carry out pump station faults and assess Mechanical failures
  • Full Class 2 licence (WTR an advantage)
  • Must be computer savvy
  • Keen and willing to learn, a team player
  • Able to problem solve
  • Able to communicate with other
  • Keen to contribute to the team goals
  • Demonstrates Zero Harm understanding and safety behaviour
