Do you want to help shape the future of Australia? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager IT Risk Management to join nbn on the journey of reshaping Australia’s digital landscape.
Reporting into the Executive Manager, IT Governance Risk and Control, the Senior Manager IT Risk Management, will support the SEO (Systems, Engineering and Operations) Business Unit, ensuring that it achieves its strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives by ensuring that all SEO related risks are managed in compliance with nbn’s Risk Management Methodology and Enterprise Risk Management Policy. The Senior Manager will also have significant stakeholder management responsibilities and will be tasked with confidently presenting findings and leading discussions with senior management and key external stakeholders.
A bit about your role
In your new role as the Senior Manager IT Risk Management, you will be accountable for;
Assisting and advising senior management to identify risk exposures and provide guidance in managing these risks
Providing support to SEO for internal and external audit activities, including acting as primary liaison with the external auditors for the annual ITGC review.
Performing risk assessments over key SEO change initiatives to ensure that key delivered risks are identified and appropriately addressed
Facilitating, providing oversight, and challenging risk management activities within SEO
Embedding and maintaining the SEO Risk Management Framework, including alignment to the nbn Corporate Risk Management Policy and Standard
A bit about you
The successful candidate will likely be able to demonstrate a significant track record track record working in large, enterprise risk environments within a Line 1 or Line 2 IT risk team and display an understanding of corporate and IT risk management methodology and IT governance. Furthermore, you will possess an understanding of the risks associated with IT infrastructure and networks, IT resilience and recovery, public cloud computing, supplier risk management and IT service management processes.
In addition, given the senior stakeholder responsibilities of the role, the successful candidate will likely have a demonstrated ability in communicating and engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders enabling you to communicate complex findings and ideas in simplified forms. Furthermore, as an experienced people leader, you will display a proven ability to develop and build up the capability of your direct team, driving forwards a culture of high performance across the board, enabling you and the team to create value during periods of transformation.
