About the role

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting for a Construction Manager to assist in the tendering and delivery of major rail/infrastructure projects based in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

The role of the Construction Manager is to directly oversee construction activities on a project. Ensure that the project construction team adopts and continually implements disciplines and procedures and that the construction process is controlled and adheres to strict safety, quality, programme and financial guidelines.

You will have

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management.
  • Significant experience in a rail project delivery environment and exposure managing teams for delivery phase of construction.
  • Understanding of design, problem-solving capabilities, commercial acumen.
  • Ability to communicate on all levels
  • Lead by example in health and safety and attitude.
  • Installs commitment and loyalty in team members.
