About the role
We are expanding our proposals team to support a growing pipeline of opportunities across multiple sectors and geographies. We’re looking for professional Proposal Managers, Coordinators and Technical Writers to work with our Proposals Team, Subject Matter Experts and other stakeholders to deliver high quality proposals across our Australian Hub. Fixed term and permanent positions are available.
These are hands-on positions, requiring editorial skill, negotiation abilities, attention to detail and flexibility. The challenges will be rewarded with the opportunity to work on tenders for iconic projects, and a workplace that is flexible, offering work from home and time in lieu options.
The expansion of the team also brings the opportunity to influence and improve our processes and to contribute to our collateral library.
You will work alongside technical teams to manage the development and submission of high quality, compelling and strategically planned proposals, contributing to writing, strategy to win, and production as required. Every proposal is different, and our process can be tailored to get the best outcome. Our expectation is that everyone jumps in to support the team and the proposal.
You will be driven by quality and by deadline, work well with others and will enjoy collaborating within a values driven organisation.
Relevant proposals or similar experience with a good working knowledge of the construction and engineering sectors is required. A background in marketing, communications or journalism would be highly desirable.
We work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people. We believe in building careers through providing a safe, connected and innovative culture that supports ongoing growth and development. We offer industry-leading benefits such as specialised learning and development programs, a mental health and wellbeing program, industry leading paid parental leave policy, family friendly work practices, additional purchased leave option and coaching programs for staff on parental leave.

We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the diverse society in which we live and work. We recognise the increasing importance of flexible work arrangements and family friendly work practices to enable and maintain a diverse, adaptive and high performing workforce.
As a proud RAP organisation, Laing O'Rourke is committed to achieving a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people from culturally diverse backgrounds. Download our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan at www.laingorourke.com
