About the role
Laing O'Rourke are recruiting for a Senior Communications and Stakeholder Advisor to join the South Eastern Program Alliance team based on site in Hallam, VIC.
Laing O’Rourke, as part of the South East Program Alliance (SEPA) are working with LXRP, Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) and Jacobs to develop and deliver value-for-money engineering solutions for multiple level crossing removals.
The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) is a delivery entity created by the Victorian Government to remove 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across Victoria by 2025. It is one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in Victoria’s history.
Our current pipeline of works includes major station upgrades, track duplications and a range of other critical rail infrastructure works.
- Engage with and be responsive to community members and stakeholders around the delivery of the Level Crossing Removal Project.
- During delivery of assigned project, build trusted relationships with community members and stakeholders, understand their needs and expectations, identify and work to minimise project impacts on them as much as possible, and ensure they receive useful, accurate, timely and engaging project communications materials.
- Work closely with the delivery team to understand the construction program, identify potential stakeholder and community impacts and work to mitigate these as much as possible
About y ou
You will possess relevant and appropriate communications and community engagement qualifications combined with at least 5 years of hands on relevant experience in a project delivery environment (ideally large-scale civil/rail infrastructure). You will be a confident, effective and engaging individual who can work both independently and collaboratively within the typically fast-paced project environment.
