About the Role

The work is exciting, dynamic, and varied. As an integral member of multiple dynamic teams, you will support and consult, both inside and outside of the Organisation. Your abilities and experience will be expanded as the Organisation seeks ways to shape you as a leader and expert consultant. The role offers direct engagement with clients, full product life-cycle undertakings including project estimation and planning, research activities, design implementation and verification, collaboration with other disciplines, regulatory testing, and manufacturing transfer. The Business will reward you for setting and accomplishing professional development and project quality goals. The role will suit those who are client-focused, have a can-do attitude, and value a team-oriented approach to development.

About You!

To be Successful in this Role You Will

  • Have the highest level of integrity and pride in both yourself and your work

  • Be self-motivated and entrepreneurial
  • Enjoy mentoring less experienced engineers and clients
  • Have prior experience in a consulting or product development environment
  • Have the ability to estimate, plan, manage, and deliver consulting projects within your area of expertise
  • Have a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Computer Systems, or a related discipline

The Following Skills are Highly Favourable

  • Formal Systems Engineering training or experience
  • Formal Project Management training or experience (PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Leadership training and experience
  • Experience taking products through the entire product lifecycle – beginning to end

Where You’ll Be

  • Exa's Richmond office, complemented by the ability to work remotely/from home
  • Melbourne relocation package on offer when it is safe and reasonable to do so
  • Standard working hours of 09.00 - 17.00 with flexible options i.e. 08:00 - 16:00
  • Some travel in Australia and overseas as projects require (post-COVID-19)
