About the role:
This is a maximum term position for six months. The role works flexible but from time to time would be required to attend our Caboolture and Maroochydore locations when required. This is a project role to assist the redesign of our construction contract suite to meet the needs of a significant construction program. There will be a large focus on commercial construction and maintenance of water infrastructure, as well as procurement matters.

About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as Bachelor of Laws
  • Hold a current Legal Practising Certificate pursuant to the Legal Profession Act 2007.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in front end construction law.
  • C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrated legal drafting skills.
  • An understanding of various projects delivery approaches including design and construct, design bid build, and early contractor involvement.
  • Ability and experience in the provision of legal advice on complex and sensitive legal issues, particularly in the areas of construction, property, commercial and public law.
  • High level written, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and personal qualities of excellence in the delivery of legal service, displaying tact, integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and to exercise sound initiative and judgement when managing sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work in a team environment communicating and motivating effectively at all levels of the organisation.
