We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Enterprise Technology team, working closely with our Subscription & Billing pods.

The Subscription & Billing domain is made up of three pillars -- Revenue for invoicing and payments, Experience for subscription management tailored to external subscribers and internal customer support team, and Growth for entering new markets with localised experiences and expanding existing markets with diversified products.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for setting our vision and strategy for the Subscription & Billing domain. You will lead, coach and mentor a talented team of Product Owners who each have ownership of a pillar. Your role is to foster cohesion, maintain relationships with senior sponsors, understand dependencies, research and identify opportunities for improvement, and report key domain metrics. Your skillful leadership enables the engineering pods to deliver compelling products and services that solve real problems for our customers, in turn creating value for Xero.

The Subscription & Billing domain is part of the wider Technology portfolio at Xero. We aim to be one of the most sustainably excellent software engineering companies in the world

What you'll bring:

  • Experience championing strategic priorities and helping others relate to and align with.
  • Proven experience setting product vision and strategy in an outcome-centric environment.
  • Proven experience using prioritisation models — can relay several different prioritisation models, when to use which and why.
  • Proven product experience — with an extensive toolbox of modern product discovery practices to draw upon.
  • Proven experience coaching Product Owners.
  • Proven experience using a range of metrics to monitor the success and health of products and services.
  • Proven experience of making evidence-based decisions.
  • A solid track record of addressing customer needs. Proven experience connecting teams closer with customers (and not just be a proxy for them).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience building meaningful, collaborative relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Proven experience advocating for/evangelising a product or service with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading and building high-performing product teams, fostering an open and collaborative environment.
  • Proven experience working with innovative software development projects at scale.
  • You bring enthusiasm, drive, and communicate positively.
