Telesales team is a highly engaged, vibrant, World Class Sales Channel with a focus on delivering meaningful customer conversation and unique experiences. The team spans 3 sites in Australia with 400 staff.

Telesales Channel Manager | Acquisition is a key management role in the Telesales Contact Centres, has direct accountability for the strategy development and execution of our South Australian based Acquisition teams to deliver growth and NPS objectives

The purpose of this role spans two key accountability areas:

Transform Telesales and deliver world class Sales capability to deliver growth objectives

  • Accountability for developing and implementing plan to drive sales growth & conversion performance across Telesales Mobile Saves to achieve multi product AOP targets
  • Develop key transformational strategies with innovation to deliver best in class Telesales Contact Centre purchase experience
  • Drive best practice across teams and broader Telesales channel to deliver customer NPS and value growth
  • Integration with Campaign & Performance team to deliver optimal conversion outcomes for both Inbound and Outbound campaign activity

Strong focus on people and leading leaders in a high-performance Sales culture

  • Accountability for leading & developing 9 Team leaders and over 100 frontline sales staff in Telesales channel
  • Implement coaching a development framework to build high performance sales culture
  • Accountability for recruitment and performance management of Team Leaders and Frontline Sales agents
  • Effective planning, reward & recognition, reporting & analysis, feedback and behavioural leadership & coaching.

The role is both strategic and operational and requires executive and enterprise leadership to ensure alignment across Optus’ core objectives is effective and maximised to meet shared goals. Telesales Channel manager requires a strong collaborative approach to ensure key leaders & stakeholders across Optus are aligned with the Digital Sales & Telesales strategy and results outcome.
