About the Project
Overseen by managing contractor Laing O’Rourke, the Osborne North Development Project will see the construction, refurbishment and modernisation of purpose-built facilities specifically designed to enable the most effective build of Australia’s Future Submarine fleet. The design and construction activities for the new Future Submarine Construction Yard will be incredibly important and complex. The project will transform the naval shipbuilding and ship sustainment industry here in Australia.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Structures) to join us on this exciting infrastructure project in Adelaide, South Australia. This is a rare opportunity to join Laing O’Rourke - a privately owned, people-centric, international engineering enterprise with a culture of innovation.
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, your role will focus on coordinating engineering activities; providing supervision and oversight of subcontractors through the delivery phase of the project whilst ensuring the project is delivered to exceptional safety standards, and within budget, time, and the required level of quality.
To be considered for this role you will have experience in structures and delivering the full lifecycle of complex building projects – experience with industrial buildings would beneficial. You will hold a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, have a contracting background and leadership skills. Experience with managing contractor models and/or delivering Defence projects would be beneficial.
