The core purpose of the Service Operations & Infrastructure team at Woolworths Group is to design, build and manage the best technology services and infrastructure possible. We aim to support those services in a way that empowers our businesses to serve our customers in the same professional and inspiring manner in which they serve our customers in the stores.

As a Product Owner - Digital Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in this strategic imperative by working closely with the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineers, partners and vendors who deliver Infrastructure services across the Woolworths Group. You will provide technology and product expertise that enables IT infrastructure services for the Woolworths Group.

Woolworths utilises the ITIL framework in terms of delivery and management of IT services to the business, and your responsibilities include Service Strategy, Service Design and Transition and Build of relevant infrastructure services.

To be successful in this role, you have proven experience working with infrastructure technologies within an enterprise scale environment and sound IT Service Management experience across the end-to-end service lifecycle, most importantly strategy, design and build. An ability to manage the low-level details of the solutions, while understanding the bigger picture of the business requirement and IT strategy. Ideally you will demonstrate considerable experience in the following key areas:

  • Edge device management platforms (e.g. SCCM, Intune, Airwatch and Splunk)
  • Digital content platforms such as digital signage and music players
  • Networking and wireless edge access protocols (e.g. WiFi, Bluetooth, zwave, RFID, LoRa, NB-IoT)
  • IoT products and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT Core, ThingWorx)
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Distributed Computing, AR/VR, Voice/NLP.
