Our Great Opportunity

Ericsson Australia is expanding! As such, we are looking for a Trainee Field Service Technician – to build and develop a Telecommunication Transmission career.

This role offers the opportunity to apply expertise & technology as learned on the job and from formal training.

You will have:

  • Experience and/or the ability to work at heights
  • Ability to read and interpret technical construction and site installation drawings
  • Solid understanding of NBN, Optus and Telstra installation standards
  • Willingness to complete self-paced learning
  • Able to deliver results and meet time frames
  • Understanding and implementing RAN, RF, and Transmission designs
  • Installing and commissioning high capacity transmission equipment
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate closely with 3rd parties
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel away for 1 to 3 weeks at a time

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Minimum Year 12 certificate, TAFE and other certificates in Electronics/IT are advantageous
  • Valid drivers license is required
  • Data centre or exchange installation experience will be advantageous
  • An ability to develop understanding of transmission concepts
  • Team oriented attitude and work effectively with others
