Boral Cement is looking to appoint a results focused Supply Planner to manage the Supply Planning process for all markets for the Cement business unit nationally. This is an exciting new role which will act as the conduit between our commercial and operational teams to plan for and resolve supply issues impacting our network.

You will be inquisitive, analytical, data driven and partnering focused. You will be driven by extracting, gathering, manipulating and managing data and building your own tools of the trade to share with and educate the business on equipment effectiveness, maintenance plans, supply channels, raw material planning and inventory management.

Always working with the bigger picture in mind, this position will see you developing strategies, plans and running projects; interacting with stakeholders and managing priorities plus:

  • Provide thought leadership on supply planning activities across the organisation

  • Leadership and optimisation of the production, capacity, inventory and logistics plans

  • Implement and maintain inventory and raw material management strategies for all finished goods by regular review and optimisation of inventory parameters and levels

  • Ongoing review of the end to end supply chain to understand material flow and production, manufacturing and logistical constraints.

  • Consultation with Mine and Plant Managers regarding availability of production capacity and negotiation of downtime when required.

  • Plan replenishment across the network (DRP) by maintaining the accuracy of plans to reflect feasible replenish plans to depots

  • Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigating actions, conduct root-cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and define corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence

  • Conduct regular business and performance reviews with Demand Planners, Project Managers and operations

  • Accountable for master data for material planning, production and source lists for DRP

  • Assist with development and ongoing facilitation of the supply review.

  • Carry out scenario plans for the supply chain based on commercial opportunities and projects

As a natural problem solver who is customer and team oriented, you will showcase the following skills and experience:

  • Degree or post Graduate in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business and or Commercial.

  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience as a Supply Planner in a complex planning environment such as Transport, Engineering, Agricultural or perishable goods

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VBA desirable), Power BI and/or Google Analytics, SAP, Oracle

  • Ability to analyse large amounts of data, reach clear conclusions, and translate those conclusions into actionable results

  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
