About the role
The Major Subcontract Manager has commercial accountability for management of NSM’s Material Subcontracts, including but not limited to Contract Management and Contract Administration.
- Account Manage NSM Material Subcontracts
Monitor the performance of the Material Subcontracts and where necessary escalate issues and/or take corrective action
Ensure relevant Material Subcontract specific insurances and performance guarantees are in place
Manage Material Subcontractor insurances and warranty claims
Provide advice to the program team in relation to Material Subcontract rights and obligations;
Provide advice to the program team in relation to Material Subcontract owned Intellectual Property (IP) and how this flow through the head contract and impacts other Subcontracts
Monitor and maintain the Material Subcontractor risks
Compile, submit and negotiate Contract Change Proposals (CCP’s)
Report on status of Material Subcontract Deliverables, Milestones, CCP ‘s and Survey and Quote (S&Q)
- Lead the Material Subcontract reporting
Lead Material Subcontract S&Q development, estimation, approval and performance
Tertiary qualifications in a related commercial field or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial Management, Contract Management and Contract Administration roles;
Experience in a procurement capacity
Experience of Government contracts
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
- MUST be an Australian Citizen
Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence
- Experience in Alliance and Joint Ventures
Experience in Maintenance and or Asset Management Contracts
Prior experience in Defence sector, specifically ASDEFCON contracting
- Experience in SAP
