SUEZ is seeking a trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our workshop in Eastern Creek to undertake mechanical maintenance activities, carrying out maintenance, servicing, monitoring and visual inspection for safety and operability of SUEZ heavy vehicles, reducing the number of breakdown incidents through condition monitoring activities.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, as the successful candidate you will be a trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with a strong work ethic. As a self- directed individual, you enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders using your comprehensive experience and working knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanical repairs deciphering workshop manuals and technical bulletins to rectify faults and undertake diagnostic tests of engine, transmission and driveline faults.
Correcting vehicle deficiencies, you will work to resolve issues relating to power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering and hydraulics. In addition, your ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems will be instrumental to your success in this role. An HR licence and/or welding and fabrication experience although not essential will be highly regarded.
As a reliable individual, you will take pride in looking after your tools, preventing loss, damage and deterioration. Your attention to detail will be essential for the accurate completion of all documentation and recording of mechanical activities carried out. With your wisdom of experience, you will feel empowered to make recommendations for improvements.
