Asset Management Lead – Operational Readiness – Winu Project
Unique opportunity to join a ground-breaking copper project for Rio Tinto in Western Australia
Dynamic role where you will be empowered and challenged to find innovative ways to bring the mine on line
Use your knowledge of technology to drive reliability and asset management practises
Rio Tinto is looking to the Winu Project to break the mould of greenfield project development within the company. By applying a staged development approach and minimum viable project (MVP) concepts we will start small while maintaining optionality for growth.
An exciting opportunity now exists for an Asset Management Lead to join the Winu operational readiness team. Based in Perth, this role will be responsible for the design, development and ongoing improvement of the asset management framework and systems required to deliver superior asset performance and reliability.
As the Asset Management Lead, you will embrace out of the box thinking and play a critical role in the development of the ultimate Winu operation, both through influence across the study and engineering design, and shaping and owning the asset management philosophy and systems.
Reporting to the Manager Operational Readiness, you will develop and implement an asset management framework that incorporates:
A risk and phased based roadmap for implementation within a staged development approach
Strategies for a MVP environment that will extend component life and deliver lowest maintenance and process down time at the lowest total asset preservation (TAP) cost
Master data management, solutions and digitised technology for fact-based analysis and problem solving across multiple time horizons
Asset design, layout and equipment selection including fixed plant, infrastructure, HME, workshops etc.
What you will bring
With tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent, you will have demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and delivery of asset management governance, systems and processes in line with required standards. You will embrace disruptive thinking to solve asset management challenges and have the ability to create value by combining innovation, technology, sustainability and industry best practices. Experience in scoping and delivering digital asset performance management and transformation will be advantageous.
With a willingness to work outside of your core discipline, you will have previous success in coaching, building and enabling a high performing team. Collaborative in your approach, you will have the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of internal and external partners. All the while demonstrating a commitment to health, safety and environmental stewardship within yourself, your team, your peers and the asset we build.
