An exciting opportunity has presented itself at nbn to be the driving force behind ensuring the successful Mobile Network Build that contribute to the overall goals of nbn’s Fixed Wireless Expansion Program.
This is a pivotal role enabling the network roll out of fibre transit build and implementation to support the Fixed Wireless Capacity Projects.
A bit about the role
This role will manage the Delivery Partner and subcontractors to deliver fixed wireless capacity upgrade specifications in the Greenfields including power, civil works & site compound layout. You will need to be very hands on, chairing meetings with both internal and external stakeholders and looking after quotes and variations.
Some key accountabilities will be:
This role is responsible for:
- Management & review of all 3rd party quotations for Fixed Wireless upgrade projects, including civil works, equipment installation & integration, and crew mobilisation pricing
- Review of all external carrier incoming colocation Level 2 & 3 build applications against current nbn design guidelines, including power, civil works & site compound layout
- Ongoing support to external contractors for all build escalations, including cost management, variation claims, and all unforeseen issues that may arise
- Final Project pricing reviews, including all associated agreed build quotes, scope changes and variations, added equipment and possible multiple mobilisations
- Managing and reporting project milestones against monthly targets
A bit about you
You are a seasoned leader of project teams and always take a hands-on approach. With excellent stakeholder engagement, the ambition and drive to deliver and strong communication skills, makes you a respected influencer and coach. Your demonstrated experience in mobile network build including your strong Telco background in wireless would be highly desirable. Having background and knowledge on the civil – building space as well as cost management would make you a credible adviser while your project management background in Network roll out will help in driving and keeping track of the project plans and milestones with ease. Understanding nbn and your high governance and attention to details will be valuable to your success.
