About the role
We’re currently delivering exciting and complex construction projects across Australia and have plenty more in the pipeline. This means our resourcing team is exceptionally busy. And we need an additional Recruitment Advisor to help us resource our projects. We are recruiting for a full-time role based in our Brisbane office in Fortitude Valley - with flexibility on offer. Well a bit about us. You’ll be joining a fun and supportive national resourcing team who are committed to achieving diversity and inclusion across our organisation. Opportunities like this don’t come up often. So, if you’ve been dreaming of joining a truly people-centric organisation with a bright future, read on.
As an experienced Recruitment Advisor, you will recruit white-collar staff for a portfolio of construction projects - both in QLD and interstate. This really is a candidate focussed role which will see you attract, source and hire talented people for our projects. That is, people who not only meet the role critieria, but also align with our people-centric culture. Whilst this role is transactional in nature, you will be supported by our shared services team who facilitate our pre-employment checks and employment agreements.
What we really need is a Recruiter with the drive, energy and experience to pro-actively build candidate pipelines, and facilitate end-to-end recruitment. You’ll be recruiting large-volumes of vacancies, especially during project ramp-ups. Therefor it’s essential you are self-organised and self-motivated, with excellent rapport and relationship-building skills. You'll need experience recruiting white collar staff for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor - either internally or from a recruitment agency background, and ideally with experience recruiting for building or infrastructure projects. We would consider a Recruitment Officer working for a Tier 1 contractor who is ready to step up to a Recruitment Advisor role. Additionally you'll offer experience in using recruitment systems, with intermediate or higher skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
We work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people. We believe in building careers through providing a safe, connected and innovative culture that supports ongoing growth and development. We offer industry-leading benefits such as specialised learning and development programs, a mental health and wellbeing program, industry leading paid parental leave policy, family friendly work practices, additional purchased leave option and coaching programs for staff on parental leave.
Diversity & Inclusion
We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the diverse society in which we live and work. We recognise the increasing importance of flexible work arrangements and family friendly work practices to enable and maintain a diverse, adaptive and high performing workforce.
Laing O'Rourke is committed to achieving a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Applications from recruitment agencies will not be considered.
