This is a newly created position and an exciting opportunity for a passionate hands on leader to join either our team in either our Sydney or Brisbane office and truly make this role their own. We are looking for a driven and ambitious Procurement specialist to build an industry leading Procurement function. We are looking to overhaul our Procurement processes and are looking for an expert to show us how!

You will review and overhaul our processes and be driven by maximising profit and increasing efficiency. You will develop and implement end-to-end sourcing strategies and review and negotiate all current suppliers putting in place processes to future proof our business.

Whilst there is a strong process improvement aspect to this role it is also a very hands on operational role. The successful applicant will enjoy looking at the bigger picture but will be equally happy reviewing and negotiating contracts, speaking to and setting up suppliers and coordinating the procurement process in its entirety. The Procurement Team which sits in the wider Finance and Commerical team is currently made up of this role and one other Procurement specialist. This is a busy but exciting role!

You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and 10+ years demonstrated experience in Procurement working for large, complex organizations. You will have extensive experience in the construction industry specifically within utilities and infrastructure. You will have highly developed communication skills to influence and challenge the status quo. You will have a track record of successfully leading and transforming organisational culture, preferably within an organisation which is fast paced and thinks differently but equally be happy in a hands on role. You will be hungry for a fresh challenge and be excited about the difference you can make. Experience using COINS would be advantageous
