Our Retail Finance & Insurance department located in Port Melbourne is currently seeking to appoint a Dealer Account Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for the management of our Tasmanian dealerships and will travel between Victoria and Tasmania.

Reporting to the Sales Manager - Southern, your responsibilities will include:

  • To be the primary partner and owner of the relationship with Dealerships within your designated territory
  • Representing TFS and build professional relationships that enable the Dealership to maximise all sales opportunities in Finance and Insurance
  • Working with the Sales Manager to create and adhere to appropriate call plans and call patterns to ensure all Dealerships allocated receive appropriate frequency of calls and visits. Prepare content for each visit to ensure maximum value is achieved at the time of call.
  • Developing and building relationships with dealerships, providing a partner-to-partner value-add service to our Dealer network
  • Developing our brand and penetration in dealerships
  • Insurance product acquisition – work with Sales Manager to plan and develop sales strategies increase update
  • Driving and meeting retention targets
  • To actively pursue wholesale growth
  • Assist the Dealer Credit Manager by gathering relevant data required for the timely completion of new Capital Loan and/or new bailment applications
  • Conducting the Stock Audits and providing the Dealer Credit Manager with feedback re dealership performance
  • To represent TFS, presenting if required, in forums involving internal and external stakeholders on topics within your area of speciality


To ensure your success in this role, ideally you will have:
  • Strong understanding of consumer and/or commercial lending (essential)
  • Demonstrated and proven track record of B2B sales and account management (essential)
  • Experience in Finance and Motor Vehicle industry (preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, ability to build rapport and long lasting relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret sales data and provide meaningful insights and solutions
  • Tertiary qualification in business/commerce is desirable
