This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Aurizon’s CQCN Coal Haulage Management within the CQCN Maintenance team as the Superintendent Reliability and Planning based in Jilalan Sarina or Gladstone .

In this role you will lead reliability, planning and procurement professionals within our business on process improvements, change management initiatives and the integration of business strategy.

About you

  • Provide leadership and coaching at the leader level to exceed customer expectations
  • Support leaders to achieve performance objectives, promote high performance teams, support continuous improvement activities and influence operational strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and collaboration across the maintenance and operations interface
  • Apply conceptual and analytical skills and utilise key performance indicators to optimise delivery.
  • Manage financial and operational budgets, resources, on time performance and safety.
  • Build positive workplace relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities delivered through the team are compliant with relevant industry and business standard.

About the role

  • Oversight and accountability of planning, reliability and inventory management processes for a large, highly utilised fleet.
  • Planning resources and executing a safe maintenance plan.
  • Championing a safety culture which promotes, creates and maintains a Zero Harm approach in all aspects of the operation.
  • Providing leadership and coaching to achieve customer expectations through a results driven, customer focused and commercial culture.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Apply conceptual and analytical skills and utilise key performance indicators to optimise delivery of services on time.
  • Manage financial and operational budgets, resources, on time performance and safety.
  • Ensure performance is measured and meets or exceeds business requirements.
  • Maintain up to date training and key competencies across all teams.
  • Build positive workplace relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Take accountability and ownership when driving your outcomes focused team

About you :

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, Engineering, Asset Management highly regarded
  • Project Engineering background highly regarded
  • Experience in Rail, Mining, heavy logistics or plant equipment regarded
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to think outside of the box
