About the Role:
Reporting to the Vice President HSEQ, the GM Quality leads Quality Management across the business. You will play a key collaborative interface with each Woodside division in relation to realising Quality Assurance and Quality Control in all aspects of business activities. A secondary reporting line relationship with VP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) function will enable you to support risk-based Quality Management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Based from our Perth headquarters with periodic visits to our assets and project sites, this position is primarily responsible for the quality management system, assurance and control; including directing the application of Woodside Management System (WMS) and driving continuous improvement and alignment with business needs.

You will be responsible for promotion of Quality Management integration and alignment between functional areas, projects and operations - for example, project teams, engineering support, contracting and procurements, logistics, contractors and suppliers. Further, ensuring supplier and contractors fully understand quality requirements and effectively deliver a service/product that meets client expectations.
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in the role, we need an individual with demonstrable aptitude for quality management. Ideally multiple years of Quality management discipline experience in the energy industry. We need a leader with the ability to engage at all levels of the business on matters relating to Quality, with the energy to create, shape and support maintenance of a strong Quality culture within Woodside.

You will have proven leadership and management through others of large, geographically dispersed teams and should be capable of influencing and working collaboratively, driving the Quality Management Behaviours which are:

Role requirements include;

  • A related tertiary qualification or recognised institution membership grade is desirable
  • International Certification to Lead Auditor Grade (Oil & Gas sector) should have been achieved
  • Industry recognised incident investigation tool training and experience is expected
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of supplier quality management (oil & gas sector)
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of operations quality and risk
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of supplier risk & risk management in the context of quality
