Joining the team as a Production Supervisor you will play an integral part in the success of our operations and will be responsible for:

  • Coaching and mentoring others to reach their full potential.
  • Developing and upholding the highest standards of process and production practices.
  • Deliver to challenging goals in line with both our short term and long-term goals.
  • Implementing and sustaining business system improvements, assisting team members to implement initiatives and the auditing of standardised work practices.
  • Act as the first point of contact for issues engaging with your team to problem solve and in turn resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensure a strong HSE culture is maintained.
  • Working within Digestion, Clarification, Precipitation or Calcination functions.

  • A background of working in a production supervisor role with outstanding leadership capabilities where you have been able to deliver on key operational targets.
  • A track record within heavy industry ideally with Alumina or mineral processing.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to the health and safety of yourself and others.
  • Experienced in problem solving and an ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience of building and leading a cohesive, diverse team to achieve operational short- and long-term goals.
  • Values driven management style with a focus on caring for, developing, and supporting your team.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to pick up new systems and procedures easily.

About where you may work

Kwinana Alumina Refinery is located 40 kilometres south of Perth in the Kwinana Industrial Area. It is a major employer in the area with approximately 850 employees. An estimated 48 per cent of employees live in the neighbouring communities of Kwinana, Cockburn and Rockingham.

Pinjarra Alumina Refinery is located 90 kilometres south of Perth, a 30-minute drive from the coastal city of Mandurah and six kilometres, or a 10 minute drive, east of the regional town of Pinjarra. It is situated in the Peel region of Western Australia, within the Shire of Murray and is a major regional employer with approximately 1000 employees.

Wagerup Alumina Refinery is located on the border of Western Australia’s Peel and South West regions, 130 kilometres south of Perth, four kilometres north of Yarloop and 13 kilometres south of Waroona. Wagerup refinery employs approximately 620 people and of those, around 30 per cent live in the local shires of Waroona and Harvey.
