About the role

Laing O'Rourke is looking to employ an experienced Indigenous Participation Coordinator to form a key part of a high profile public infrastructure project in Perth.

Key responsibilities

You will support our project delivery team to implement appropriate strategies and plans to achieve key deliverables and produce positive outcomes across the project for Aboriginal people, businesses and the community.

You will be required to work collaboratively with the Construction, Commercial and Workforce Development and Industry Participation (WD&IP) teams to manage and ensure direct and subcontractor compliance with project WD&IP targets. You will work with Indigenous owned enterprises, consultants and small businesses to increasing representation across our supply chain.

You will manage and implement key Indigenous initiatives, programs and partnerships.

About you

You will have held a similar position previously and have experience in working in Indigenous engagement. You will have demonstrated experience and understanding of culturally appropriate practices in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s and communities.

Previously experience working in a Communications type role or previous exposure to this would be highly desirable.
