About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior HSE Advisor preferably with building experience to join our team based in Melbourne, VIC. This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately owned tier 1 constructor, and an international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of the Laing O’Rourke HSE Management System and Project HSE Management Plans in accordance with company requirements
  • Coach, mentor and support project personnel to continually improve the culture and performance of the project team and Laing O’Rourke’s Next Gear philosophy.
  • Complete, facilitate and mentor accident investigations up to and including Potential Class 1
  • Assist in the coordination and undertaking of HSE assurance activities including audits and support the project in developing and closing out any actions arising

About you

You will have a relevant Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety combined with experience on building projects, ideally in Australia. You will have demonstrated audit experience along with experience in coaching to develop safety peers and project personnel in Health & Safety.
