Product Owner (Maternity Leave - 12 Month Contract)

An opportunity has arisen for a detail orientated and motivated Product Manager to join our Digital team in the role of Digital Specialist.
This is a Maternity Leave cover position commencing February 2020 for a minimum period of approximately 12 months.
The Canstar Digital Team is responsible for supporting in the management all digital assets to ensure that they continue to exceed customer expectations and drive revenue growth for the organisation.

As a Digital Specialist within this team, you play an active role in facilitating the successful delivery of the Canstar Gold digital strategy. This includes identifying, scoping and supporting the delivery of new digital initiatives. You are also responsible for ensuring that any issues impacting customer experience or commercial objectives are resolved as quickly as possible.

What you will be doing
  • Support the creation and management of the digital product roadmap for Canstar Gold Banking vertical
  • Create user stories and detailed requirements for development and test teams
  • Support in the creation of business cases and project documentation including requirement specifications, success metrics and wireframes
  • Work together with technology and delivery teams to ensure that all digital initiatives are delivered within agreed timeframes, to agreed budget and with agreed scope.
  • Leverage design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma and Sketch) to ideate, concept and prototype new digital features, functions and product initiatives.
  • Collaborate with User Experience and Design specialists to ensure all new initiatives adhere to design and brand guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with Optimization specialists to identify and execute multivariate tests and experiments that will improve the experience for Canstar customers
  • Develop positive and productive working relationships with stakeholders across the business, working collaboratively to define new digital opportunities that will deliver outcomes
  • Proactively research and conduct competitor comparisons and analysis to understand industry trends and potential customer focused innovations
What you need to bring to the role
  • 2+ years digital product management experience
  • Strong project management skills with experience supporting the delivery of major digital initiatives
  • Direct prior experience working within an agile delivery environment.
  • Significant understanding of UX and data analytics and how to use these to make informed customer driven decisions
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical knowledge into language that can be understood by non-technical audiences
What will give you the extra edge
  • Considerable experience in a similar role in addition to relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Prior experience within a financial services environment will be highly regarded.
