About the project
Overseen by managing contractor Laing O’Rourke, the Osborne North Development Project will see the construction, refurbishment and modernisation of purpose-built facilities specifically designed to enable the most effective build of Australia’s Future Submarine fleet. The design and construction activities for the new Future Submarine Construction Yard will be incredibly important and complex. The project will transform the naval shipbuilding and ship sustainment industry here in Australia.
About the role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/ Contracts Administrator for the Osborne North Development Project in Adelaide. Right now is a great time to join us on this exciting new Defence project, right here in Adelaide. This permanent role offers great career prospects with a people-centric, privately owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
You will assist our commercial team to optimise margin whilst mitigating commercial risk, on a project. This will involve assisting /supporting the project team with all aspects of commercial management. Assisting with the preparation and submission of interim progress claims, updating contract registers and monitoring compliance of contract requirements, whilst at all times adhering to Laing O’Rourke’s safety policies & procedures.
Ideally you will have a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Law, Finance or Engineering, and a delivery focus. You will already have gained experience assisting the commercial or finance team on a large-scale infrastructure or building project with top tier contractors. Experience with managing contractor models and/or delivering defence projects would be beneficial.
