About the role
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and servicing the Sydney metro area, as a Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle mechanic you will possess demonstrated experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and be responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance procedures on road transport and plant equipment including, Backhoes, Front end loaders, Excavators, Forklifts, Shredders and Grinders, Trommels, Sandscreens and Conveyors.
Utilising a service vehicle fit for purpose you will travel from site to site conducting service and repairs, deciphering workshop manuals and technical bulletins, diagnosing faults and conducting preventative maintenance, ensuring service documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
As the ideal candidate with a Trade Certificate or Cert III Engineering Mechanical Trade qualification and a valid Heavy Vehicle licence you will be a team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard in an efficient manner. You pride yourself on your strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving the highest level of customer service.
Your experience conducting preventative maintenance, providing innovative solutions to issues and making recommendations to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs will be essential to your success. A strong commitment to safety ensuring all serviced vehicles are deemed roadworthy is a must. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and experience using Mainpac fleet management software is desirable. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team in a growing organisation.
