Responsible for supporting on a range of strategic projects, using sound technical knowledge to help create, test and persuasively communicate the framework for strategy and long-term plan development, focusing on the structure, contribution and composition of BP's portfolio to deliver the Group's objectives.

BP's Upstream segment focuses on finding reserves of oil and gas, developing the means to extract and process it and then producing and transporting it to market. This involves using cutting edge technology to find the energy reserves, designing, building and operating some of the world's largest most complex production onshore / offshore facilities and finally being able to transport these fluids, to provide energy to the world.


About the Role

BP has a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Advisor to join our high-performing commercial team in our Perth office for an 18-month opportunity. You’ll play a key role in protecting and promoting BP’s interests through a soild and functional understanding of our commercial agreements. You will represent BP in meetings with third parties and Joint Venture partners as we continuously seek innovative and value-creating solutions. You’ll identify opportunities to enhance the profitability of the business as well as managing all JV activities in line with contractual obligations. The North West Shelf Joint Venture will be your primary focus with a clear goal of optimising commercial value within the framework of agreed strategies.


About You

At BP we value people with diverse experience. We have a genuine interest in hearing from people that have good understanding of the overarching commercial structure of Upstream Joint Ventures, the underlying key agreements, and how they interlink across the value chain. The successful candidate will be able to identify gaps within contractual arrangements, identify risk and protect value. This role would ideally suit someone with oil and gas experience with a tertiary degree in a finance or commercial discipline.
