The purpose of the role is to grow the Optus Business whole of business market share through the business development and acquisition of new customer sales opportunities.

Key to the success in this role is an ability to sales prospect throughout the assigned territory and uncover sufficient pipeline in order to meet or exceed target.
Success will be evident in the measurement of signing of new business orders, an increase in customer share of wallet, order margin and customer satisfaction results (NPS).
This role will be largely responsible for the development of new business within designated accounts. Working with the Account Director for each account the BDM will contribute and help shape the account strategy in conjunction with the respective Account lead. This role will require the development of close relationships both internally and externally to maximize success and drive customer outcomes. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional customer relationship skills (at CEO, CIO, CFO level), have a proven and consistent track record in sales, with strong planning skills, proactive and show tenacity as well as the ability to create and execute strategy (aligned to the wider account strategy).
Essential for the role is your strong knowledge of the ICT/ Telecommunications industry backed by your solid experience in business development, sales or strategic selling background. You’re a natural hunter, driven by exceeding sales targets and your passion to create exceptional experiences for your customers.
Coupled with this you will bring with you, your experience in selling complex products and tailoring suitable packages and solutions to identified customer needs and managing key technical relationships and selling strategic business solutions.
