About the role
The City's Venue Management Team is in the process of transitioning towards a proactive Sales force focussed on strategic business development and building long-term customer relationships across both the corporate and community sectors.
The Business Development Manager is an expert in their respective market segment and is responsible for achieving sales volume and generating new business leads through developing networks and relationships with customers, suppliers and industry partners. They are pro-active and strategic in their sales activities and develop market intelligence in order to capitalise on opportunities.
Criteria / skills
To succeed, you will have Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business discipline, have extensive industry experience and client network. You will have experience delivering results with a focus on sales volume, or revenue growth, and the ability to network and build relationships combined with strong influence, communication and negotiation skills.
