Let's talk about the role
This newly created role will support the Head of Conduct and the Regulatory Strategy Lead in monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, as well as work with internal stakeholders in developing and articulating Latitude's public policy positions.
This role will tackle everything from policy research, submission preparation, and drafting of briefing papers to conducting data-led impact analyses - all while representing the Conduct and Regulatory Risk team with internal stakeholders.
- Proactively identify public policy trends and developments
- Work internally to raise awareness of policy issues and form consensus
- Assist in preparing proposed policy positions and advice
- Prepare timely and high-quality correspondence, briefing papers, and reports ranging in complexity, and
- Actively promote, drive and role-model Latitude's values to drive high-performance and engagement of the Conduct & Regulatory Risk Team

You are thoughtful and solutions focused, with a track record of clearly articulating complex business and public policy issues. You make sound judgements with the awareness of possible impacts on customers, strategic objectives and operational outcomes. You take a flexible approach to your work and consider yourself and strong communicator with the ability to influence and challenge. Credit industry knowledge coupled with experience interacting with legislation and regulatory matters would be highly regarded.
You will have the ability to analyse diverse sources of information, clearly articulate key issues, and draft solutions taking a data and fact-based approach.
