Superintendent - Mine Production

Reporting to the Mine Operations Manager, the Mine Production Superintendent role will the lead on all mine production activities. The key objective of the role is to safely deliver on our production targets by providing effective leadership within the Mining Department, and by collaborating with a range of stakeholders within our department and within Cowal.

Technically you will have….
- Extensive experience and sound knowledge of deep open pit mining practices
- Technical qualifications in mining or a related discipline (desirable)
- NSW Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency, or ability to obtain one (desirable)
- Proven ability to accurately monitor and report costs and performance
- Strong people management skills are essential
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to set clear accountabilities and deliverables for direct reports including annual targets and KPI’s for operational teams. While ensuring that operational activities are carried out in compliance with applicable Health and Safety Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards and site regulations. You will make certain that operational and financial targets are achieved, provide commentary for variations against targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
