Multimedia and Interactive Specialist

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in area of special effects, animation or interaction design
  • Professional experience in a corporate or design agency environment, with at least
  • 6 years experience in a creative role
  • Expert-level knowledge of animation and video-editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition)
  • Strong understanding of interaction design to create user experiences
  • Experience in designing and developing a range of digital formats, including using code libraries to implement Java script, experience in creating interactive frameworks and ability to use multimedia development platforms
  • Strong skills in shooting video and directing video shoots, including in-depth understanding of camera, lighting and sound equipment
  • Knowledge of 3D production which can be integrated within a mix of media platforms
  • Ability to work well with diverse project teams, comfortable with and energised by planning and managing multiple projects in parallel
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and strong problem-solving skills

Who you'll work with

You will work with the Sydney Design Studio team in identifying appropriate media for communications, with a focus on multimedia and interactivity.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for creating and managing impactful visual communications materials for clients and for internal and external projects.
You will support projects from the initial briefing, through concept design to final end-product realisation, acting as a thought partner with teams to co-create/concepts to best support their communication goals.
You will also be responsible in developing video and animation projects via story boarding and scripting, graphics and interaction ideas, and use multimedia tools to create interactive content that excites and explains.
Additionally, you will help analyse, design and develop plans to create interactive content for display in our immersive Experience Studio learning space, supported by the latest collaborative technology.
You will have the opportunity to design and develop a range of digital formats, including HTML & CSS coding for websites and HTML newsletters, and you will also assist on regular video shoots, by setting-up and operating camera equipment, based on working knowledge of 3-point lighting, framing shots and aesthetics.
