Principal Process Engineer - Water

About the opportunity

Jacobs is renowned for the excellence of our technical consulting and project delivery expertise in the water industry. With a wealth of projects in the pipeline we are seeking to recruit an experienced Principal Process Engineer – Water. Reporting to the Section Lead – Water Engineering, this Brisbane-based Engineer will be a key member of our Water Engineering team. They will be responsible for the delivery of water engineering design projects to meet client needs, enhance client relationships and to build market share.

Some of the responsibilities of the role will include\:
    • Provide technical inputs in the investigation, design and operation of water/wastewater systems
    • Planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
    • Maintaining existing relationships with our key clients and attend meetings as required
    • Lead and contribute to identifying, sourcing and winning opportunities by building strong relationships with clients and leading and/ or writing proposals
    • Lead and support the delivery of water engineering designs and projects, including the development of innovative solutions to complex technical problems. Includes working collaboratively with a range of disciplines and mentoring/ supporting staff
About you

Essential Skills and Qualifications required for the role\:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Process or chemical preferred)
  • RPEQ desirable but not essential
  • Significant experience working as a professional practitioner in the field of water engineering
  • Demonstrable industry profile
  • Process Engineering and discipline leadership
  • Excellent Client Engagement skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, contractors, and project staff
