WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Control Systems Engineer you will;

  • Ensure all electrical and instrumentation engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements, company policies and practices
  • preparing preliminary and detailed designs of electrical and instrumentation engineering projects and ensuring project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works
  • Ensure all electrical and instrumentation engineering project work is completed on time and within budget
  • Prepare documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around electrical and instrumentation engineering
  • Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure electrical and instrumentation project goals are met

WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this position, you will have the following experience and qualifications;

  • An Engineering degree i.e. Electrical/Electronic, Controls Systems
  • +2 years’ experience working with iron ore mine and port control systems including demonstrated use of related processes and procedures
  • Competent with PLC software development i.e. ladder logic and FBD, preferably RS Logix, ProWorx & Unity
  • Competent with Schneider CitectSCADA software development
  • Mining background and process knowledge highly advantageous
  • Site experience commissioning control systems i.e. PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation
  • Ability to quickly define problems and draw valid conclusions
  • High attention to detail and understands the bigger picture
  • A proactive nature and the ability to work as part of a team
