Telephone Account Manager

The purpose of this role is to acquire, retain and expand market share across all Optus Core products, including mobile voice and data, fixed voice/data, and specific ICT products & services.

You will be responsible for selling into a territory of Mid-Market businesses in a specific state.

The Telephone Account Manager will work with a large virtual team, to develop high level customer relationships and deliver product and service solutions including Solution Specialists, Business Development Managers and Marketing.

You need to demonstrate must have skills and experience to effectively deal with senior executives in mid-market businesses with strong planning skills, the ability to create and execute sales strategies and problem solving for solution development.

The role is responsible for delivering against sales targets by ensuring systematic pipeline build and a positive experience for customers and prospects in their interactions with Optus, using telephone and digital channels.

Success will be evident in sales activity KPIs, performance results and clear demonstration of essential behavioural competencies.

Skills & Experience

A few years’ experience in corporate inside sales role with demonstrable record of regularly achieving/exceeding sales targets within the ICT Industry. Additionally, you will also have;

  • Strong knowledge of voice and data networks
  • Experience with IT infrastructure (hosted, cloud and premise based) - desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Mobile Networks and wireless access technologies
  • Experience in a direct sales role in the Business Market
  • Experience selling to mid-market organisations
  • Planning and administration skills
  • Sale process and methodology skills
  • Understanding of mobile wireless networks and technologies
  • Fully conversant with Wireless Networks and access technologies'
