Amazon Web Services New Zealand is seeking a talented, self-directed professional to generate awareness, demand and adoption of AWS services and solutions. The ideal candidate must be able to devise a strategy, generate and deliver bold and innovative ideas to drive business growth, and tactically manage and execute programs and campaigns working closely with field sales. As our Marketing Manager, you are responsible for driving the success of AWS among developers, startups/small businesses and enterprise customers in New Zealand. You will define and drive marketing campaigns that meet the needs of the local business, while partnering with marketing managers in Australia, the Asia Pacific, the US and other geographies to deliver global marketing campaigns.

  • Generate a 12-18 month marketing strategy that is aligned with customer need, sales and marketing objectives
  • Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns to successfully drive awareness, adoption, and usage of AWS through innovative and effective programs, including webinars, digital marketing campaigns, lead generation programs, and physical events
  • Manage the implementation, tracking, efficiency and measurement of marketing campaigns
  • Brief and oversee the work of internal and external agencies
  • Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of existing campaigns


  • 8+ years of marketing experience in a technology environment directly supporting sales teams such as Field Marketing, Alliance Marketing or Partner Marketing
  • Demonstrated success in digital campaign management, content strategy, product management, and project management
  • Solid understanding of lead management and sales funnel management
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results
  • A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously


  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement (internal and external) with the ability to influence
  • Highly organized, data-driven and detail oriented. Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, pivot and problem-solve
  • Interested in building programs and processes from the ground up and comfortable in ambiguous environments
  • A strong team player – comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment
• Proven knowledge of industry tools preferred, such as Marketo, SalesForce, HTML, and online analytics packages.
