The role

Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is responsible for the operation of an open cut MPU in a safe and efficient manner in order to provide a quality product for the purpose of blasting at the site. In addition, the MPU Operator will be responsible for the delivery of emulsion-based explosives in alignment with the services supplied on site.

About you

We are looking for a talented Operator at our Telfer site on a FIFO from Perth basis. To be successful in this role you will have;

  • MPU Operator and/or related industry experience
  • A Manual Heavy Rigid Vehicle License along with a Dangerous Goods License
  • A Forklift License (desirable)
  • A Dangerous Good Security Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • A flawless record and attitude with regard to health and safety (Take 5, Workplace Inspections, Pre-Starts, Safe Work Instructions etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting skills and time management skills
  • Self-starting independent team member with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Have the aptitude to use computer software
