About the opportunity

With a wealth of projects in the pipeline we are seeking to recruit a Design Manager to fill key positions on small to medium NSW based multi-disciplinary road and rail design projects, with a heavy structural component and drive technical delivery of the designs.

It would be expected that the successful candidate would be able to manage the designs of small to medium bridge or related structural infrastructure projects to an independency level commensurate with a senior level bridge engineer. Additionally, this role will require a good understanding of technical approval processes around bridges and transport structures of various approving bodies and delivery agencies in NSW.

About you

You should have a relevant undergraduate degree as a minimum with a range of experience in bridges and/or heavy civil structure delivery/design management The successful candidate should also have\:
  • Experience in Bridges and in the NSW market is highly regarded especially with a good understanding of the relevant technical approval processes.
  • Must be able to articulate a clear direction and have good social, networking and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record as design manager in the industry.
  • Meet work expectations in project delivery and client feedback.
  • Maintain an appropriate quality standard for all documentation
  • Executing work ‘on time and on budget’
  • Mentoring engineering staff effectively and efficiency, being respectful of all knowledge levels.
  • Assist with identification and building new client relationships and new opportunities within existing clients.
