About the project
Larrakeyah Barracks is a strategically important Defence base servicing the Royal Australian Navy, Army and Joint Task Force units in the Darwin Area. Laing O’Rourke is delivering both the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment and Facilities Support to Naval Operations in the North projects as the managing contractor.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Supervisor (Civil) to join us on the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment project in Darwin, NT. Right now is a great time to join us on this exciting Defence project in central Darwin, a short walk from the esplanade. Enjoy a tropical lifestyle in a unique part of the world, with prime fishing and camping spots right on your doorstep - and let's not forget the short flights to Asia.Note that this is a residential role, therefor fly in, fly out will not be offered.
You will supervise a subcontract workforce to ensure work meets quality and time requirements, and stays within planned milestones and budget, whilst at all times adhering to Laing O’Rourke’s safety policies and procedures.
Ideally, you’ll have at least 3+ years’ experience in a senior-level supervisory role delivering civil works for large-scale building or infrastructure projects with a top-tier contractor, and high-level skills in client-interface, coordination, time management and safety leadership. Experience working under a managing contractor model and/or defence experience would be beneficial.
