About the project
Larrakeyah Barracks is a strategically important Defence base servicing the Royal Australian Navy, Army and Joint Task Force units in the Darwin Area. Laing O’ Rourke is delivering both the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment and Facilities Support to Naval Operations in the North projects as the managing contractor.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Civil) for the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment project. Right now is a great time to join us on this exciting new Defence project which is located in central Darwin and offers longevity. This is a residential role and therefor fly in, fly out arrangements are not available.
You will plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery team, whilst always adhering to Laing O’Rourke’s safety policies and procedures.
You will have a relevant Engineering or Construction Management degree, a contracting background, a strong delivery focus, leadership skills, and ideally 5+ years’ experience in delivering civil packages with Tier 1 Contractors on large-scale building or infrastructure projects. Managing contractor and/or Defence experience would be beneficial.
