As a Project Manager / Technology Lead, you will significantly contribute towards managing program of multiple inter-dependent projects following the SAFE execution methodology; Oversee all aspects of assigned project throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. Drives problem resolution and risk mitigation for escalated issues, problems and risks as needed.. You will demonstrate superior collaboration skills and techniques which appropriately define alternate solutions, resolve conflicts and create lasting, productive partnerships with clients. This role is to manage complete project life cycle and will include interfacing with business/technical staff, customers, finance, PMO and external third party providers to deliver the project goals.
Location for this position is Canberra, Australia

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • Experience in Project Management working on software application implementations preferably in the financial industry with sound understanding of a typical project lifecycle
  • Minimum of 05-06 years in the industry as a Project Manager
  • Ensures necessary allocation of resources throughout the program. This includes developing detailed project plans, establishing milestones and defining the resources required.
  • Evaluates the scope and complexity of projects and programs, and identifies the necessary resources to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.Coordinates needs with various stake holders and delivery team.
  • Leads or oversees status meetings, tracks and maintains detailed issues and risks lists, and prepares appropriate project meeting minutes and status reports. Meets regularly with other related areas to ensure that integration issues are identified and resolved.
  • Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Analyzes decisions and actions for their support of the larger area's strategic direction. Works with senior management to resolve more complex problems.
  • Working with Account Management, create an annual plan once budget numbers are provided and assist in forecasting of resources and timelines. Keep plan updated throughout the year

  • The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
