The role itself

Title: Marketing Operations Manager

Team: Delivery team

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Base salary: $90,000 - $120,000

Role: Full-time

Probation period: 6-months

Direct reports: 3

The team


Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be leading our Delivery team, which is responsible for fulfilling many of the contractual obligations we have with our Endorsed Employers. In the main, this involves producing and distributing content that showcases and celebrates WORK180 Endorsed Employers and their efforts to increase gender equity in the workplace.

Our Delivery team has three core measures of success: delivering strong operational efficiency, creating seamless client experiences, and producing high quality, engaging content. Your role will be key to driving impact across each of these areas.

The impact you’ll be making

Your role is a team leadership role with primary responsibility for content creators and operations coordinators, and a secondary focus on working with internal (account management) and external (employer) stakeholders. You will:

  • oversee the smooth running of the Delivery team, including regular 1:1s with direct reports and participation in meetings with the wider team;

  • be responsible for planning and forecasting deliverables based on new/renewing clients, in order to ensure suitable resourcing plans are in place;

  • work closely with the wider marketing team to identify new opportunities to align and promote campaign content;

  • take the lead on defining and rolling out requirements for new and enhanced operational procedures, including working closely with the product and engineering team where required;

  • ensure that all your stakeholders (internal and external) are aligned and help to navigate challenging issues, particularly where clients are involved;

  • be responsible for monitoring & analysing performance reporting across the client base, particularly that which relates to engagement with content, employer profiles and job ad views in order to identify priority actions required;

  • manage the allocation of designated paid advertising spend for supporting employer engagement, working closely with the Head of Marketing and WORK180’s digital agency;

  • champion the correct use of key company platforms like Hubspot (operations & CRM), Confluence (documentation), Wordpress (website CMS) and Slack (internal communications).

What to expect next

  • CV review in which we look for evidence that you have experience in the areas we’ve outlined, including areas of transferrable skills, and use this to shortlist suitable candidates.

  • Introductory call with our COO, to ensure we have a clear understanding of your background and experience and that you have a clear understanding of the role.

  • Interview with our Head of Marketing (the hiring manager) and another colleague from the Delivery team, which will focus on your skillset and the core competencies required for this role. You will be given a task to complete prior to this interview, which will help you to demonstrate your potential.

  • Final interview with two leadership team representatives. This will include a deep dive into your background and your future aspirations, what you can ‘add’ to the WORK180 culture and give you a chance to experience our open-door culture.
