About Habour City Ferries

Harbour City Ferries (HCF) is a Transdev Australasia company, the region’s largest multi-modal public transport provider. We employ around 600 employees at any given time and operate 170,000 services per year transporting more than 14 million people across Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River.

We have a variety of roles at Harbour City Ferries including operational roles: General Purpose Hands (deckhands), Ferry masters, engineers and planning and scheduling roles. We have a range of trade roles who maintain the vessels located at the Balmain Shipyard including fitters, engine mechanics, boiler makers, certified welders, shipwrights, electricians, plumbers and painters.  We also have corporate and professional roles which include communications, finance, human resources, health and safety, commercial and legal, IT and management. Whatever your role is at HCF, you contribute to improving the mobility of our customers and the positive impact this can have on their lives, their community and our environment.
