AMP has gender targets in place and we remain committed to achieving them. We want women to hold 47% of senior executive roles and 50% of middle management roles by the end of 2020. These targets reflect our belief that an inclusive and diverse workplace delivers better results for our shareholders, customers, employees, business partners and communities.
Health and wellbeing at AMP
AMP offers a wide range of benefits and initiatives to employees as we recognise that health and wellbeing play an important role in a person's personal and professional life.
AMP’s discount program, available online and via an app, gives employees access to more than 400 retailers offering savings on groceries, petrol, clothing, hotels, travel, electrical goods, music and much more.
Need additional leave or more time away from the office? Employees can purchase up to 8 weeks of additional leave each year through salary deductions (subject to manager approval).
Parental leave or the primary caregiver:
AMP offers 14 weeks’ paid parental leave (this can be taken at half pay over 28 weeks if requested) on the birth or adoption of a child.
Health and wellbeing program:
The annual program includes health assessments, flu vaccinations and seminars.
Onsite health clubs (Circular Quay & Parramatta):
Our onsite health clubs offer quality equipment, fitness classes, access to massages, and personal training. Membership is just $10 per week pre-tax, deducted from the employee's salary.
AMP corporate health plan:
The AMP corporate health plan provided by Bupa offers health cover at reduced corporate rates.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP):
The EAP is a free, confidential counselling and advice service for personal and work-related problems. It’s open to employees and their immediate family, and is run by professional, independent consultants.
Our 2017 People Survey showed that 69% of our workforce took part in some kind of flexible work. AMP offers a wide range of flexible working options from job sharing, to compressed and part time hours, as well as the ability to purchase leave and work remotely.
Giving back to the community
The AMP Foundation’s Community Program supports employees who volunteer with, or fundraise for, the social and community causes they are passionate about. The program includes: volunteering and mentoring activities that are organised for AMP employees every year, including preparing meals for people in need, creating support kits for children in foster care, donating blood or mentoring a disadvantaged student. The AMP Foundation will also dollar-match funds raised for a number of registered not-for-profits and community partners.
