Women affected by COVID-19 redundancies

WORK180Jun 29, 2020

WORK180’s purpose is to empower every woman* to choose a workplace where they can thrive. Our work is more imperative than ever with women being the most affected by the impacts of COVID-19.

To help elevate women whose careers have been impacted, we’ve created a special list of job seekers looking for work. As well as being public, this list will be sent directly to the WORK180 Endorsed Employers on a regular basis.

To all employers looking to hire, please contact the highly talented women on this list.

Whilst having gender diversity in your company should be a no-brainer, recent ground-breaking research by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA collects one of the most comprehensive data sets globally) shows that a 10% or more increase in women in key leadership positions increases a company's market value by 6.6%, or $AUD105 million on average.

It’s a win/win situation!

*By woman, we mean all women including trans, intersex and cis, all those who experience oppression as women including non-binary and gender non-conforming people and all those who identify as women

About the author

WORK180 is an international jobs network that connects smart businesses with talented women. We pre-screen every employer on our jobs board to see where they stand on pay equity, flexible working, paid parental leave, equal opportunities and a range of other criteria. We also take into account diversity initiatives focusing on age, ability, ethnicity and sexual orientation.

The information we uncover is made public on our website, so that everyone knows what to expect from each employer before applying for a job. We continually review and evolve our pre-screening criteria to ensure workplaces are fair and equal for everyone.

To help women find a workplace that will work for them, we prescreen employers on flexible working, pay equity, paid parental leave, and more. Find your next role on the WORK180 job board.
