We'd like to make a prediction.
We want to say publicly that a technology company called FluroSat is going to be huge. Having seen how they operate over the past few weeks, I’m more sure than ever that businesses like this are setting the standard for Australian workplaces of the future.
Let us explain.
One of the WORK180 team members reached out to FluroSat's CEO and Founder Anastasia Volkova a few months ago, but she was super busy and said she would get back to us towards the end of the year.
But then Anastasia met our Co-Founder and CEO Gemma at a KPMG event. She immediately called and said,_ “I totally get it. What do I need to change to create a more welcoming workplace for women?”_
We sent over a copy of WORK180’s HR policies to use as a reference and within three business days, Anastasia had implemented every single one.
Gender-neutral language, equal leave allowance for primary and secondary carers, zero minimum tenure required to be eligible for paid parental leave, superannuation contributions on paid parental leave, a $2k super bonus upon return to work from unpaid parental leave and a clause to ensure parents of stillborn children were not excluded.
It made us so proud of the work they’ve done and we want to celebrate it.
It also made us think about how appealing their company and attitude is. We're pretty sure that’s how you build a great business.

The team at FluroSat want to change the world. They apply the latest in machine learning and AI to help farmers make informed decisions based on accurate and actionable insights. They’ve introduced targets to raise the number of women in leadership, so now is a good time to check out their employer page and set up a job alert.
WORK180 is an international jobs network that connects smart businesses with talented women. We pre-screen every employer on our jobs board to see where they stand on pay equity, flexible working, paid parental leave, equal opportunities and a range of other criteria. We also take into account diversity initiatives focusing on age, ability, ethnicity and sexual orientation.
The information we uncover is made public on our website, so that everyone knows what to expect from each employer before applying for a job. We continually review and evolve our pre-screening criteria to ensure workplaces are fair and equal for everyone.
