Vic ICT for Women’s Tech Diversity award winning program Grad Girls is kicking off on February 21st 2019. Grad Girls is a FREE 1 year program for female STEM university students interested in a career in a technology related field and who want to understand the pathways available to them.

Monthly sessions are run from February through to October, with a break in July, at sponsor companies’ offices in the Melbourne area. Each session includes a tour, information on company recruitment, insights on what they do in the tech world, activities on how to improve your networking skills and a chance to meet other females in tech. The program dedicates the first session completely to branding, workplace behavior, cleaning up your online presence, and creating your first CV and LinkedIn Profile. There are prizes to be won at each session including a major prize at the end of year celebration based on participation throughout the year.

Grad Girl participants will leave the program being able to make an informed decision on the first step in their career in tech, a professional headshot for a LinkedIn profile, the start of their professional network, and a lot of new friends.

2019 Platinum Sponsors are Work180, REA Group, AGL Energy, Thales Australia, NAB, Motorola, and Liberty Financial.
