Shifting the Dial on Gender Equality

Shifting the Dial on Gender Equality

WORK180Jan 9, 2018

2017 has been a huge year for DCC  Endorsed Employers for Women, who worked hard to shift the dial on gender equality.

As we step into 2018 we'd like to highlight just a few of the amazing achievements by DCC's employers:

  • QinetiQ Australia initially failing DCC’s criteria and then qualifying in six months by increasing paid parental leave for primary carers from four weeks to 16, introducing three weeks’ paid parental leave for secondary carers and creating a flexible workplace. Their story drew a lot of attention and their journey was featured by Engineers Australia.

  • Common Code (under 30 staff) providing 8 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers

We know 2018 is only going to be bigger and couldn’t be more excited!

Happy New Year everyone!!

About the author

WORK180 is an international jobs network that connects smart businesses with talented women. We pre-screen every employer on our jobs board to see where they stand on pay equity, flexible working, paid parental leave, equal opportunities and a range of other criteria. We also take into account diversity initiatives focusing on age, ability, ethnicity and sexual orientation.

The information we uncover is made public on our website, so that everyone knows what to expect from each employer before applying for a job. We continually review and evolve our pre-screening criteria to ensure workplaces are fair and equal for everyone.

To help women find a workplace that will work for them, we prescreen employers on flexible working, pay equity, paid parental leave, and more. Find your next role on the WORK180 job board.
